LGBT Liturgies

This session will explore the ways in which religious ritual shapes and is shaped by the lives and practices of LGBT people.  Using song and symbolism as well as discursive reflection, the presentation will consider the twin issues of voice/voicelessness and of "liberatory" as opposed to "equalizing" practices, as well as the understanding of God operative in both issues when ritually expressed.
